Yes, it is 100% true that the series was written while J.F. Lowe and her husband toured the United States in 2019 and 2022.

Unfortunately, J.F. Lowe will not be doing events or signings again. Sadly due to her health, she is no longer able to travel.

Is it true that A Sailors Daughter is based on J.F. Lowe?
In short yes and no. J.F. Lowe’s was seventeen when she joined the Royal Australian Navy, her nickname was “Nancy” and she did let’s get well educated in the lifestyle featured in the book however, the book is fiction.
